In Vietnam, talking about infinity swimming pools or sky gardens is talking about five-star hotels or international standard resorts instead of apartment buildings. However, this common trope is gradually changing. In order to meet the need for a green life in harmony with nature from a part of urban population, many developers have focused on greening space, even equipped their projects with five-star amenities and facilities to serve residents.

The impression of sky garden
The hanging gardens of Babylon (one of Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, located in Iraq today) were built in 600 BC. The luxury and timeless values of the first sky gardens of the world have inspired the birth of many later rooftop gardens such as Rockefeller Center Roof Garden and High Line Park (New York), Kaiser Garden (California); Kensington Roof Gardens (London), Waldspirale Garden (Germany), Acros Garden and Namba Parks (Japan), etc.

Together with sky gardens, rooftop swimming pools or lakes also add the feel of luxury and class to a building. Marina Bay Sands luxury hotel in Singapore is famous for its largest rooftop infinity pool in the world. Resort paradises like Maldives with Paradise pool or Bali with Ubud Hanging Gardens are also named in the list, etc. Although construction purposes may vary, nobody can deny the values of those gardens when they come into existence. On the other hand, those gardens bring fame to buildings and constructions that are even called by their names. Such greening garden paradises not only meet people’s need for a green life in harmony with nature but also shape the lifestyle for a part of the urban population: a life of class and premium amidst nature.

Imperia Sky Garden
Rooftop pools or gardens have become a popular trend in modern architecture, even help shaping a new lifestyle for urban residents: a life of class and premium amidst nature
With the mission of creating fully green living space, each of MIKGroup’s projects is aimed at creating unique and distinguished values to serve the community. Thus, it comes as no surprise when MIKGroup shows its desire to develop Imperia Sky Garden project situated at 423 Minh Khai, Hanoi – a prime location in the capital city into a unique one with unique landscapes. The design of Imperia Sky Garden was reliably contracted to Baumschlager Eberle Architekten (BEA), a multinational architecture company ranked among top 100 world leading design studios after a strict contractor selection process. Starting from original ideas from Professor Dietmar Eberle, Chairman of BEA, the BEA team had been working for 2 years to perfect the idea and translate it into the reality. That explains why Imperia Sky Garden is “worth” every detail.

Thanks to its original design, Imperia Sky Garden has recently surpassed many “strong competitors” to be honorably awarded Best Condo Landscape Architectural Design in the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2018, one of the big and reputable leading awards in the real estate sector in Vietnam within Asia Property Awards.

Extending the concept of “city gardens” which has been demonstrated in previous Imperia-brand projects such as Imperia An Phu, Imperia Garden, etc. Imperia Sky Garden will also bring a resort-style life to its residents right in their own homes. Tree-branch-shaped building structure helps optimizing views to outside world while ensuring comfortable space, quality of light and ventilation for all apartments. Throughout the two blocks, a landscape with tropical gardens acts as an attractive highlight of the project from the main road. Exceptionally, the design of its rooftop gardens imitating world-wide famous ones makes Imperia Sky Garden a unique sky garden in Hanoi. A five-star-hotel-styled high-end infinity pool is also situated on the edges of the building blocks to create the feel of “swimming in air” together with various premium amenities such as running trail, belvedere, yoga court, rooftop café, etc. As a result, residents of Imperia Sky Garden can enjoy the best views of Red River or the city from an elevated position.

According to a representative from BFA, while most buildings in Hanoi use rooftop space to install technical systems, BFA took advantage of its wonderful view of the Red River to design a real sky garden. The rooftop sky garden and the infinity pool contribute to the perfection of overall idea. The idea of developing the whole rooftop floor into a green, relaxing space to serve residents makes it the message and also the official name of the project.
